G Classical

Well..................It was a very well-played game on both sides, but Greenville Classical pulled out a 24-23 victory. The whole game it was a back and forth and at halftime it was 11-11. I have togive props to David Rice for an amazing pass. A deflected pass was caught by a falling David Rice who toosed it one-handed through his legs to our point guard (Peter Howard). This left the crowd to oos and aahhhs and a little bit of laughter but it was a great play to avoid a turnover. Matthew O'Brien (nicknamed Mo) played as aggressive as I've seen him play this year putting up at least 8 points. I added 8 points and Peter had 2. A few of our players did not have the best of their shooting days today but hopefully we can get those shots falling by next Monday. With 15 seconds left we had a chance to win but the Greenville Classical Defense prevented us swinging the ball back around to Mo for the jumper which forced Peter to take a last second three pointer. It bounced off the rim leaving some of us disappointed. If anyone else had taken the shot it probably wouldn't have gone in anyway. Our next game is December 17th against Anderson Christian.
