Coming off a rough loss to Tabernacle us Guardians were itching to get back out for a second game and show how well we could really play. However needless to say we started out......a little too pumped. Right before tip-off while they were announcing the starting lineups Daniel and I both jumped up to do a side bump. The most embarassing part though, was that he knocked me over. Eeveryone laughed. I myself could not laugh beczause it was gametime. The game began very fast-paced with both teams shooting a low percentage to begin the game. throughout the first half Oconee consistently showed that they could beat our press with crisp smooth passes. Late in the second half our pressure began to wear down Oconee with Will scoring on multiple straight fast breaks. It was a great way to redeem our ssad loss to Tabernacle. Our next game is December 9th.

EHE Guardians @ Tabernacle Rams
The 2009-10 season opener began with a bang. For the other team. The Tabernacle Rams this year without last years tsar player, we took for granted. We came into the game thinking it would be a breeze. It certainly wasn't. The Rams came out and socked us in the mouth with some lights out three point shooting. Our lack of defense didnt help that fact much. The halftime score was 33-13 in favor of the Rams. The second half was played much better but still not quite good enough. The Rams won 48-27.

EHE Guardians @ Tabernacle Rams
We were up against the Rams again and this time they had gained a starter and we had lost one. As you remember they had a phenomonal left handed point guard named Patrick Robinson. We started off strong going on a 9-2 run but then we got lazy and Patrick caught fire hitting a long two a layup and a three back to back to back. He scored every first quarter point and they led by about one. We had a strong presence from our guards in this game. With 30 seconds left we had the ball up by 2. I caught the ball in the corner waited and no one would get open. So i attempted a lob pass to Matt which went barely over his head. Patrick took it the other way for an and 1. He missed the free throw so it was tied. We brought it down and WIll made a jumper. Patrick then raced down the court and hit a layup at the buzzer. Overtime. To start off the overtime someone besides Patrick hit a three. They eventually went up 5 and we could not get anything. Eventually it got so frustrating that Will was charged with a technical foul. The little momentum we had was gone and Tabernacle won 33-30.
Calvary @ EHE Guardians
Pulled out a 3rd straight win 51-43. Will addeed 17 points. Peter had 7 and played better than he has all year. I added 9 and Caleb about 9.
Greenville Classical Lions @ EHE Guardians
This very well may have been our best game of the year. We started strong played strong and finished strong. We ended up letting up only about 5 second half points. Just about everyone scored and it was an all around great effort. Our next game is against Calvary
Oakwood Eagles @ EHE Guardians
Today the GUardians coming off Christmas break and our first loss and were up against the Eagles. The bad thing is that Mo had broken his wrist playing in a middle school game against the Titans and now out for 6 weeks which could very possibly mean the rest of the season. We had to make some position changes like moving Caleb to wing and me to Caleb's spot. As any team would we started off slow. At the end of the third quarter the score was tied at 22. It was a battle of who wanted to win it more. The truth was it was Will. He caught fire in the fourth quarter and led us to a convincing victory. By the end of the game we had won by 10. Our next game was against Greenville Classical
