Sick. This the word that described the status of Matthew O'Brien and our third quarter of play. Matthew O'Brien could not play today after having a high temperature and we all hope he feels better soon. The first half was back and forth, but a few three pointers by Greenville Classical put them up 18-11 at halftime. Right before halftime with 2.5 seconds left Peter received the inbounds pass and hurled it up to me. I caught the ball and with 2 hands tried to sidearm it towards the goal. I got fouled. I could not convert but 1 of the three freebies. Peter afterwards stole the inbounds pass but could not get a shot off. I had 4 baskets and 3 free throw at halftime. Right after halftime Will got us going by singlehandedly dribbling through their defense and getting an easy layup. This would be the only points that we would get in our terribly played third quarter. The tall 6 footer for Greenville Classical had a killer turnaround jumper which caused us some trouble and some precious points. In the fourth quarter Daniel Baxa received a pass on the wing, and sensing the pressure on him blew right around the defender . He did the move I would now like to call the Jump n' Dribble. Daniel jumped like he was doing a power hop and dribbled at the same time before putting it up for an amazing layup. Throughout the night David beasted the boards as if he had something against them. Rebound after Rebound came down to him. One possession late in the game Greenville Classical brought it back down and passed around, over, through and behind us for about 2 minutes. Greenville Classical won 30-21. It was a good game and maybe if we wouldve had Mo it wouldve been a different story.
